General
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to everyone who uses the Barbero2Go website and web app (the “Platform”), operated by Barbero2Go (“Barbero2Go”, “we”, “us”). They cover customers who book haircuts and barber-partners who provide them.
By creating an account, making a booking or applying as a barber-partner, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.
Ticking “I agree” or using the Platform counts as your electronic acceptance under the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 8792).
2. About Barbero2Go
Barbero2Go is a booking platform that connects customers with verified, independent barber-partners who give haircuts at the customer’s home, condo, apartment or dorm in urban Lipa City, Batangas.
Barbero2Go does not employ barber-partners. The barber-partner provides the haircut; Barbero2Go arranges the booking, handles GCash payments and gives support to both sides.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Kids’ haircuts are booked by a parent or guardian from their own account. An adult aged 18 or older must stay with the child for the whole service.
- Give your real name, an active mobile number and a valid email, and keep them up to date. Your barber uses your mobile number to reach you.
- You can have one customer account. Keep your password private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
- Tell us right away through our Contact page if you think someone else has used your account.
For customers
4. Services and service area
Every barber-partner offers the same three services at the same prices:
- Regular haircut: ₱250
- Haircut + beard shave: ₱300
- Kids’ haircut: ₱200
We serve addresses in urban Lipa City only. If your pinned address is outside our service area, the booking can’t be confirmed.
Please have a clean, safe space ready with a chair and enough light for your barber to work.
5. Booking a barber
- Bookings are same-day and on demand. When you book, we match you with the nearest available barber-partner. If a barber you want is busy, you can join their queue instead.
- Your booking is confirmed when a barber-partner accepts it. You can then see their name, photo, rating and status in the web app until they arrive.
- Arrival times, including our 15-minute target, are estimates. Traffic, weather and demand can make your barber arrive later.
- If no barber is available, you see “No barbers available right now” and you are not charged.
- A booking is complete when your barber finishes the service and marks it as done in the app.
6. Prices, travel fee and payment
- All prices are in Philippine pesos (₱).
- Travel fee: a travel fee of ₱10 per km is added, measured from your barber’s location to your pinned address. The barber keeps it in full.
- You see the full price, the service plus any travel fee, before you confirm. Your barber can’t charge you anything else.
- Pay with GCash when you book, or pay your barber in cash after your haircut. For cash bookings, your barber marks the cash as received in the app.
- You get an e-receipt in the web app for every completed booking.
- Don’t arrange or pay for bookings directly with a barber-partner outside the Platform.
7. Cancellations, no-shows and refunds
- Free cancellation: you can cancel any booking for free before your barber arrives, including after they accept and while they are on the way.
- No-show: if your barber arrives at your pinned address and you are not available within 10 minutes after they try to reach you in the app, the booking is marked as a no-show and a ₱100 no-show fee applies. The fee goes to the barber to cover their travel.
- If your barber cancels or doesn’t arrive: we rematch you with the nearest available barber at no extra cost, or you can cancel for free.
- Refunds: refunds are processed every day. Free cancellations paid with GCash are refunded in full to the same GCash account within 1 day. If a no-show fee applies, ₱100 is kept and the rest is refunded.
- Cash bookings: an unpaid no-show fee is added to your next booking.
- If you think a no-show was marked by mistake, contact us within 48 hours.
Full details are in our Cancellation Policy.
8. Your responsibilities as a customer
- Be at your pinned address at the time of your booking and keep your mobile number reachable.
- Tell your barber about any scalp sensitivity or skin concern before the service starts.
- Treat your barber with respect. Harassment, threats, discrimination or unsafe conditions are not allowed.
- Your barber can stop the service and leave if they feel unsafe or are treated with abuse. We review every report.
- If you’re not happy with your haircut, report it in the web app or through our Contact page within 48 hours. We review each report with the barber-partner.
For barber-partners
9. Becoming a barber-partner
To join, you must be at least 18 years old and have:
- A valid government ID
- A TESDA certificate or any grooming certificate
- Your own complete, clean barber tools
- A smartphone with mobile data
- At least 3 years of barbering experience
Every applicant goes through five steps: online application, verification, on-site interview, orientation and platform training, then start booking. You sign the barber-partner agreement and set up your GCash payout details at orientation.
Everything you submit must be true. We may decline any application, and we remove barber-partners who gave false information or documents. Start at the Become a barber-partner page.
10. Independent contractor relationship
- Barber-partners are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or legal partners of Barbero2Go.
- You choose when to go online and which jobs to accept or decline. There are no fixed shifts.
- You supply and maintain your own tools.
- You are responsible for your own taxes and government contributions, such as BIR registration, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG.
11. Service standards
- Offer only the three standard services at the standard prices. Don’t add charges or take payment outside the Platform.
- Clean and disinfect your tools before every job, and follow the service standards from your orientation.
- Wear your Barbero2Go barber-partner ID on every job.
- Before marking a no-show, wait 10 minutes after you arrive and try to reach the customer in the app.
- Mark cash as received right after every cash booking.
- Cancel an accepted job only for emergencies, and as early as you can. Repeated cancellations or no-shows (3 in 30 days) can lead to suspension.
- Keep your rating at or above 3.5 to stay active.
- Use customer details only for the booking. Don’t contact customers outside the Platform to arrange private bookings.
12. Earnings and payouts
- Your share: you receive 60% of the service price of every completed booking. Barbero2Go keeps 40% as its platform fee.
- You also receive the full travel fee and any ₱100 no-show fee from your bookings.
- Payouts: you are paid every day through GCash after you end your duty.
- Cash bookings: you keep the cash you collect. Barbero2Go’s 40% share of those bookings is deducted from that day’s payout. If your payout doesn’t cover it, settle the balance through GCash before your next duty.
- You can see every job, cash received and payout in the barber app.
For everyone
13. Ratings and reviews
- After each completed booking, the customer can rate their barber from 1 to 5 stars and write a review.
- Reviews must be honest and about the actual service. We remove reviews that are false, abusive, discriminatory or share someone’s personal information.
- We don’t pay for reviews or edit what you write.
- Barber-partners whose rating falls below 3.5 may be asked to retrain or may be deactivated.
14. Safety and reporting
- Every barber-partner submits a valid ID and a grooming certificate, passes an on-site interview, and completes our training before taking bookings.
- Report a safety concern in the web app or through our Contact page. In an emergency, call 911 first.
- We may pause an account while we look into a report.
15. What you can’t do
- Create fake accounts or pretend to be someone else
- Make fake bookings, abuse refunds or use someone else’s GCash account without permission
- Copy, scrape or try to disrupt or break into the Platform
- Use the Platform for anything illegal
16. Suspending or closing an account
- You can close your account at any time through our Contact page.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, for example for fraud, safety concerns, repeated no-shows or cancellations, or a rating below 3.5 for barber-partners.
- We tell you why, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it. Amounts you owe, such as unpaid no-show fees or cash-booking balances, stay due after your account is closed.
17. Privacy
We handle your personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). Your barber sees only your name, booking address and service for that booking. Read our Privacy Policy to learn what we collect and how we use it.
18. Our name, logo and content
- The Barbero2Go name, logo and the design of the Platform belong to Barbero2Go. Don’t use them without our written permission.
- Barber-partners let us show their portfolio photos on the Platform while they are active.
- Customers own the reviews they write and let us show them on the Platform.
19. Disclaimers and limits of liability
- We work to keep the Platform running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
- Barber-partners are responsible for the services they provide.
- As far as Philippine law allows, Barbero2Go’s liability for any claim about a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.
- Nothing in these Terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394).
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and we tell you about important changes by email or in the web app before they take effect. If you keep using the Platform after that, you agree to the updated Terms.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms follow the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you have a complaint, contact us first so we can try to settle it. Disputes we can’t settle are brought to the proper courts of Lipa City, Batangas.
